Persian culture has an influence of the Quran especially in literature. They worship Allah. Their morality is somewhat based like a karma system. For example, if a person helps someone else in need, then in return the person should receive help from someone as well. It is also like the Golden Rule, do to others how you should want it done to you. Persian philosophy, like the Rubaiyat is based around living life to the fullest because it could end tomorrow.

Why is the flood stories similar?

I believe that the Gilgamesh flood and the Biblical flood are similar because it may have been an event that happened worldwide. Another possibility could also be that the stories could have been passed down and through different cultures, changing the story slightly and different names for people.
